Rangan Padmanabhan has been the managing director of Solaris Asset Management in Bellaire, TX, for nearly 12 years. He is an expert in global energy markets with 25 years of total experience in technical analysis, consulting, asset management and trading. He has traded natural gas, crude oil, refined products and electricity for utilities, pipeline, companies, major integrated oil companies, banks and hedge funds. 

Padmanabhan graduated magna cum laude from Rice University with a B.A. in economics and managerial studies. He received the Financial Risk Manager certificate (FRM) in 1999 and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 2001.
